Seattle

September  2015

Seattle was less charming than we hoped. Traffic was noisy and there were many people smoking outdoors. The Pike Place Market is crowded and touristy, but interesting. The Art Museum is closed on Mondays, the day we were there, but its outdoor sculpture is accessible. We visited the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks and Fish Ladder and also the Fishermen’s Terminal. In our limited time there, we didn’t explore many neighborhoods, though, on our way to the Olympic Peninsula, we took the ferry to Bainbridge Island, which looked like a very pleasant area from which to commute.
