Before stopping overnight in Port Townsend, we toured Fort Warden State Park, formerly a site of a defensive battery. From Port Townsend we rode the ferry to Whidbey Island, where we walked on a cliffside path at Ebey’s Landing, drove into Coupeville, then across the bridge over Deception Pass, and on to Anacortes for the ferry to Friday Harbor, San Juan Island.
