For a drier look at the Olympic Peninsula, we headed east, stopping at Lake Crescent and hiking first to Marymere Falls and then most of the way up the Mt. Storm King Trail. The next morning we tackled Hurricane Ridge, with blue skies and fabulous views of the Olympic Range. Black-tailed deer wandered about without much regard to humans, and an Olympic marmot watched from a rocky perch.
